Corona measures

Entry requirements 3G

  • Since 22.02.2022 a proof of 3G (vaccinated, recovered, tested) for entry into Austria has been required from all countries.
  • PCR tests must not be older than 72 hours and antigen tests must not be older than 24 hours.
  • Children under the age of 12 are exempt from the obligation to provide proof (entry and access).
  • Children aged 12-15, who are not or only partially vaccinated, could also use the Holiday Ninja Pass.

No more 3G proof as access restriction.



FFP2 mask

The FFP2 mask requirement applies to everyone over the age of 14 and only applies in the following areas:

  • Hospitals
  • Pharmacies
  • Grocery & Drug Stores
  • Bank & Post
  • Taxis, bus and train (including stops)
  • NO mask requirement in cable cars, coaches and excursion boats.

3G proof

Vaccinated:

  • From February 1st, the first series of vaccinations ("2 vaccinations" or "recovery + 1 vaccination") is valid for 180 days. The vaccination certificate of the booster vaccination ("3 vaccinations" or "recovery + 2 vaccinations") is valid for 365 days.
  • Exception: For persons under the age of 18, the vaccination certificate for the first series of vaccinations will be valid for 210 days (7 months).
  • The paper vaccination pass or printout is valid as a proof
  • Approved vaccines: BioNtech/Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson/Janssen, Moderna, Novavax.


Recovered:

  • Those who have recovered are exempt from the obligation to be tested for 6 months after the infection has ended.
  • Evidence is, for example, a notice of separation or a medical confirmation of an molecular biology confirmed infection.


Tested:

  • A PCR test that was taken no longer than 72 hours ago is valid.
  • Or an antigen test from an authorized agency, taken within the last 24 hours.
  • Or an antigen test for personal use (“living room test”) that was recorded by an official data processing system and was taken no longer than 24 hours ago.
  • Guests without an Austrian e-card can apply 5 free PCR tests per month.
