... Environmentally friendly holidays
For the sake of the environment
Our Verwall Apartment Arlberg is embedded in a stunning mountain setting. In an alpine landscape like this, we are closely connected with nature. We want to share the beauty of this natural habitat with our guests.
The preservation of our species-rich habitat is of central importance to us. Therefore, we strive to always consider the protection of the environment in our actions. For us, this also means enabling our guests to enjoy an environmentally and climate-friendly stay.

... the most natural thirst quencher
Alpine spring water
- What a privilege it is to drink fresh and high-quality Alpine spring water straight from the tap.
- Our water comes from the "Steinernes Meer" in the Formarin mountains at about 2000 m above sea level and travels for 200 days through various layers of rock until it reaches us in the valley, enriched with many minerals.
- The excess water - i.e. the water that is not needed by households for drinking, cooking, washing, showering, etc. - flows from the spring directly into a small hydroelectric power plant and thus generates valuable eco-electricity.
... sustainable construction and healthy living
Regional building materials
- The entire residential complex was planned by a Vorarlberg property developer and implemented by local small businesses and with predominantly regional resources.
- Wood - a renewable raw material - plays an important role. For example, the entire exterior façade was made of Vorarlberg silver fir wood. In the apartment, the doors, floors and dining table are made of oak. The windows are fitted with wood-aluminium frames and the balcony has wood panelling from floor to ceiling.
- Clay is one of the oldest building materials in the world and brings with it many positive properties. Our clay plaster wall in the flat's living room not only absorbs pollutants, but also regulates humidity and thus ensures an optimal and healthy indoor climate.
... because it also works without fossil fuels
Heating
- Our flat is heated exclusively by renewable energy.
- A heat pump collects the heat stored in the ground by means of a deep borehole and probe, transports it into the building and releases it there.
- The sun is one of the most important energy sources for climate-friendly electricity. A photovoltaic system is located on the roof of the building and, as the building's own power plant, supplies green electricity.
... because electricity is a valuable resource
Energy saving
- The electrical appliances in the apartment are of a high energy efficiency class. The kitchen also has an energy-efficient induction cooker.
- The light sources in the flat are mainly energy-saving LED lamps.
- The different rooms are equipped with individual room control for the underfloor heating. This allows you to create individual heating zones and achieve optimal heating comfort in an energy-efficient manner.
... you can do your part too
Waste separation
- With proper waste separation, we can all make a valuable contribution to environmental protection. By recycling materials and returning them to the material cycle, resource consumption and CO2 emissions can be reduced and the environment relieved.
- We take waste separation very seriously. All waste is to be sorted according to the types "residual waste", "plastic/metal", "paper", "glass" and "organic waste".
- Rubbish bins and a precise description of which rubbish has to go in which bin are available in the apartment.
