Sonnenkopf


The family ski area with 100% natural snow. The Sonnenkopf is considered one of the snowiest ski resorts and take care 31 kilometers of pistes, 9 lifts and many freeride opportunities for every kind of interest.   

   

Our recommendation:  10% discount on multi-day ski passes in the low season with the guest card   

   

About 5 min away by car. Free ski buses run several times a day.

Ski Arlberg


The cradle of alpine skiing. Ski Arlberg is the largest interconnected ski area in Austria and the fifth largest ski resort in the world. The Arlberg offers skiing pleasure in a class of its own with 305 kilometers of downhill skiing, 200 km deep snow runs and 88 modern railways and lifts. 

   

About 12 min by car from the Verwall Apartment to Stuben am Arlberg - access to the ski area is possible from there. Or with the free ski bus directly to Stuben am Arlberg.

Tobogganing


Fun for the whole family! The toboggan runs in the valley of the Klostertal and up high are fun and fast.

Winter hiking


Hike into a winter paradise! A fascinating view of the white winter world opens up to all winter lovers in the Klostertal -  on foot or with snowshoes.


  • Winter hiking trail Wald am Arlberg (directly at the apartment)
  • Summit tour to the Muttjöchle at 2,075 m, about 2.5-3 h
  • Almeinkreuz circular route, about 2 hours

Cross country skiing


For enthusiastic cross-country skiers our region offers wonderful opportunities. Once a week in the evening, the trail in Klösterle am Arlberg is freshly groomed and illuminated for a unique experience.


  • Practice trail, Wald am Arlberg, length 500 m
  • Alfenz trail, Dalaas/Wald, length 10 km
  • Cross-country and skate track, Klösterle, length 7 km
  • Tschengla, Bürserberg, various railways

In addition to skiing, winter hiking, cross-country skiing and tobogganing, other activities such as archery, ice climbing, llama trekking and horseback riding are also very popular.


Winter in the Klostertal offers a variety of opportunities and activities. And the guest card also provides a varied weekly program for young and old.
